El Challange de Marshmallow The Marshmallow Challenge is a remarkably fun and instructive design exercise that encourages teams to experience simple but profound lessons in collaboration, innovation and creativity.
The task is simple: in eighteen minutes, teams must build the tallest free-standing structure out of 20 sticks of spaghetti, one yard of tape, one yard of string, and one marshmallow. The marshmallow needs to be on top

The above video is an accurate recount of the destruction of our marshmallow tower (named after Steven our class Gorilla (Giraffe)) in Slow Motion. We were faced with the challenge of helping a marshmallow receive the maximum height from the ground. below are pictures of our group's design. Using trial and error and collaboritive thinking we were able to raise the marshmallow a grand total of 27 inches.

2nd place winners!!!! Yay!!! Name: Leaning Tower of Eiffel!!! This was 15-17 inches tall! The Marshmellow Challenge taught us to look from the point of view from the Marshmellow (our person who we are designing for). Our person was up about 16 inches tall on sticks of spagetti covered in tape! The Marshmellow expiriment was pretty awesome! I can't wait to try it again and see how much we improve!
My Favorite pic of this team! Here is Shyre's teams "standing" structure! Tomas doing the wonderful Marshmallow Challenge.
Well here is Eric's "Standing" structure Here is Delphi's groups structure at around 19'. And here is Alice's groups marshmallow structure at around 18'.
